Gautam Buddh Nagar

Gautam Buddh Nagar is also known as the ‘City of Apparel’. Lakhs of people are employed in this industry, out of which around 60 per cent workers are women. As many as 2500 readymade garment factories are situated in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Finished goods are exported abroad. An Apparel Training Center has been established here to provide skilled craftsmen to all the units engaged in garment factories.

Introduction

Gautam Buddh Nagar district was formed on May 6, 1997. It was previously the tehsil of district of Ghaziabad. It is part of the National Capital Region (India). Greater Noida is the district administrative headquarters. Gautam Buddh Nagar is an important industrial district of Uttar Pradesh that consists of large number of readymade garment factories.
